He's learning a trade

One of our dads was terminated from a good job with an electrician. But as usual God is faithful to open another door when one closes. Not only did the single dad, who is experiencing homelessness with two children, find a new job, but this one pays more and he works Monday through Friday during the day. And, he qualified for electrician’s training on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will be going after his electrician’s certification. This family is on their way to self-sufficiency.

Where You Can Fit In

The Secret Attic Thrift Store is booming. Under new leadership the store is more upscale and even has a new “Man Cave.” Don’t worry we still have an incredible boutique for higher-end women’s clothing at very reasonable prices. So we need volunteers to run the cash register, sort and hang clothing and we can always use some help on the van picking up furniture. If you would like to find our more give Barbara a call at the store at (386) 615-3837.

Prayer List

Some local housing programs have opened up in Daytona Beach, New Smyrna and DeLand. These programs would assist our families by only charging a percentage of their income for rent. This would build on what we teach our families and help them remain successful for a very long time. Please pray that our families will move up the list quickly and a nice apartment will be available for their new success.

Wish List

Thanks to the Council of Catholic Women from Our Lady of Hope. Last month we put out a call for king-size pillow cases as a result of a large donation of pillows. Some of the ladies solved the need by sewing some new pillow cases for our additions. Because of the coronavirus outbreak, we can use some hand soap, disinfecting hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes for all three campuses. Please pray for our safety and the provision of the much-needed items for our families.

Scripture Reminder

“Go through the camp and tell the people, ‘Get your provisions ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you for your own.” Joshua 1:11
