Triple Impact Appeal

We at Family Renew Community are optimistic that we are approaching the end of the tunnel that is the COVID-19 pandemic. And, thanks to generous people like you, there has been enough light along the way for our families to see the path out of homelessness. Thirty-three families — including 79 children — lifted themselves out of homelessness with help from Family Renew between April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021, despite extraordinary challenges posed by the spread of the coronavirus.

As we expected, families over the last year had to stay in our rent-free apartments longer than usual and had greater needs for assistance, financial and otherwise. With compassionate guidance from Family Renew case managers, however, these families persevered through the hardships and learned how to adapt and thrive through adversity. In addition to the 33 families who attained permanent housing and the resiliency to maintain their newfound stability, many more made great progress on their journey out of homelessness but are still with us.

If you are in a position to give, your donation will give them a hand up to make it the rest of the way. It also will allow us to serve new families thrown into homelessness during the pandemic. An anonymous donor has pledged a 2:1 match for gifts postmarked or made online by Aug. 1. That means a donation of $50 will put $150 to work in the lives of homeless families with children.

The match applies to one-time donations and the first month of new monthly donations by Aug. 1 or until the $15,000 matching pool is expended.
