Our families on the DeLand Campus had the assistance of a community volunteer over the last couple of months. Sebastian started out tutoring some of our children in math. Then he expanded his help to a couple of parents preparing for their GED. Because of his help the children have gone from failing math to a solid B. And the adults are confident as they get ready to take their tests to obtain their GED. It just goes to show you the difference one person can make in the lives of the families we serve.
Like Sebastian you can make a difference in the lives of our families. Whether you can help tutor a particular subject or help an adult prepare for their GED, you can make a big difference. Let us know your specialty and your availability and we will see where you might be able to fit in.
Please pray for the adults doing their GED preparation. Although they have studied, prayers can help them build the confidence they need to succeed. It will also help boost their morale and strength knowing there are people in their corner praying for them.
We continue to need larger sized diapers, (size 4, 5, 6) and of course baby wipes. We also have some toddlers in need of 2T & 3T Pull-ups. Personal feminine hygiene (sanitary napkins) are always in demand. We are also in need of skid-proof work shoes and uniform pants, so a gift card would be a big help.
“So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” Genesis 50:21
