Recently, we brought in a family of four who were living in their car.  Dad just finished up his service in the Coast Guard and financially things fell apart. These circumstances seem to be getting more common these days.  The family had to stay with another family member for a time only to be told they had to leave. After a time in their car we were able to take them in within a few days.  Now, the sky is the limit, Mom had transferred to a better job and Dad is looking to take the skills learned in the military and translate them into a new career.

Where You Can Fit In

Each month on each campus we have community meetings where residents must attend for training or informational programs.  The problem is that these meetings are typically in the evening and we don’t have child care.  We can really use volunteers to watch the children while their parent(s) attend the events.  Meetings last about two hours and occur once or twice a month.  If you are interested, fill out the Volunteer Inquiry or give the main office a call at (386) 239-0861.

Prayer List

Each campus has seen the birth of several new babies.  It is heartwarming to see the new moms with the prospects of a better life because of Family Renew Community.  Please pray for the new additions, for health and prosperity and that these children will be able to get a start in an environment that will change their lives forever.

Wish List

As the weather changes and we start heading into cold and flu season our families can use some help with over-the-counter medicines. Items like pediatric acetaminophen and ibuprofen are useful for pain and illness. Other OTCs for allergies, rashes, cuts and diarrhea medicines. Family Renew never dispenses medicines but makes sealed items available to our parents to choose from.

Scripture Reminder

“Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples!  Shout to God with the voice of triumph!”  Psalm 47:1

After duty, family's finances fail
