Thank you, Publix!

Family Renew Community is among 104 nonprofit organizations providing housing and shelter services to receive funding in December from Publix Super Markets Charities. A grant of $2,500 will fund operations at Family Renew Community’s Daytona Beach Residential Campus for single mothers experiencing homelessness with their children.

“There are far too many individuals and families in our communities without roofs over their heads. We’re committed to helping them find the support they need to one day achieve the stability and independence that comes from having a place to call their own,” said Publix Super Markets Charities Executive Director Kelly Williams-Puccio. “We’re honored to continue our support of organizations focused on housing and the well-being of our communities.”

Publix Super Markets Charities donated $3 million to housing and shelter programs as part of the organization’s commitment to building stronger communities. This amount includes the grants to nonprofits such as Family Renew, plus support for 121 Habitat for Humanity affiliates throughout the Southeast, including funding for a total of six full houses at six locations, according to a PSMC press release.
