Parents are working in essential jobs

She worked hard to become a bus driver to lift her family out of homelessness, and she’s not about the let anything stop her.

When her route was put on hold because of the pandemic, she happily took to the essential task of sanitizing buses, leaving encouraging messages on sticky notes for her fellow drivers to find.

Laticia was expecting her fourth child when she arrived at Family Renew Community, and planned to go back to dancing in a strip club when the baby was born. Thanks to Family Renew supporters, she is succeeding in her new career, and ready to leave homelessness behind for good. She needs just a little more help while waiting for uncertainty to subside.

Laticia, shown here with Family Renew Community Holly Hill Program Manager Anita Dudley before the pandemic forced social distancing measures,  is one of dozens of parents at Family Renew pushing forward on the path out of homelessness with their children in this challenging time. Your generosity will allow them to make it the rest of the way!
