What’s a home without furniture?

Just saw this story on the website for a TV station in Cincinnati about a cool program there that gives furniture to people who are moving out of homeless shelters and into apartments or houses.

Did you know that families who successfully complete the program at any of Family Renew Community’s three residential campuses get to take most of the furniture with them? The couch, end tables, dinette, bedroom dressers — everything except the beds and mattresses — can be used to begin furnishing their new place.

We then get their old apartment ready for a new family, with furniture donated to our Secret Attic Thrift Store.

It’s all possible because of the generosity of folks who think of us when they have a sofa to spare. Thanks for your support!
