Family Renew Community’s team is at full strength and ready to redouble the agency’s efforts to make a lasting difference in the lives of homeless families with children. Executive Director Tony Deobil, who came aboard earlier this year, added Denise O’Toole Kelly and Serena Winstead to the staff at the Holly Hill headquarters last month.
Denise is development director. A longtime editor and writer at The Daytona Beach News-Journal and former managing editor of the Florida Catholic newspaper group, she has a master’s degree in nonprofit management from the University of Central Florida and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Point Park University in Pittsburgh. No stranger to Family Renew Community, Denise served on the Board of Trustees before joining the staff on May 22.
Serena, who became Family Renew Community’s administrative assistant on May 10, is taking a lead role in recruiting volunteers for the agency. She came to us from Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Services, where she was a customer service representative for adolescent services at the Cantley Center. She studied business at Wiregrass Technical College in Valdosta, Georgia.
