As we enjoy the holiday season we are reminded that Christmas and Hanukkah both celebrate times of miracles. Both honor times of joy out of hardship, deliverance out of persecution, and hope out of despair! Whether the miracle of the Virgin Birth or the miracle deliverance of Israel and the miracle of the oil, it reminds us that miracles happened back then.

Watching families transform at Family Renew are a reminder that miracles still happen today. Just yesterday I ran into one of our single dads who graduated from our program. He was sharply dressed and walking tall as he was shopping for his new family. He spoke of his son and how well he is doing and that he has grown up since I last saw him.

Or the Mom and Dad and six children who came to us after finding them living in their car. Everyone is doing well and Mom just informed us after graduating from FRC and from the Police Academy she is pursuing her degree in Police Science and was just accepted into a local program.

There are many other miracles occurring at Family Renew Community each and every day. Quite frankly too many to write down here. And we could not do it without your help and support. From the generosity of our 22 Trustee churches and synagogue, to the 30+ organizations who provided Thanksgiving meals and Christmas gifts not only for the children but for the parents as well are a blessing. Or, groups like Sweetwater Elementary School who held a coat drive and provided Christmas decorations for many of our families. FRC is truly an example of how it takes a village to see lives changed. I pray for you all often as you make such an impact on the lives of those we serve.

What You Can Do to Help!

I humbly ask that you continue to pray for Family Renew Community, our Trustees, our staff and especially the families that we serve and those families that have exited from the program. Our continued success is literally in your hands. Whether you volunteer your time, donate clothing or food, donate items for our thrift store or write a small or big check it directly sustains everything that happens here. So please continue to support us through your prayers and your giving. We are keeping our expenses down and trying to raise additional money and we need your help.

Scripture Reminder

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
